Beeswaxing & Bulling Guide

The art of beeswaxing and bulling boots is something of a mystry to many within the Forces. Even though all recruits are taught the basics of "Bulling", it is not something everyone can master and as many of you know only too well, sitting for hours the night before a big parade bulling boots only to have the polish fall all over the floor the next morning is frustrating to say the least. As an Ex member of the Guards we were thought to be quite good at "Doing Boots" due to the many ceremonial duties we carried out. Every Guardsmen is expected to know the process that results in Gleaming Boots. I took this a few stages further and developed a method which is probably the easiest and most effective way of producing a pair of black diamonds using only pure beeswax, Kiwi Parade Gloss and a good selvyt. The process is copywrited to Guardsgear and we have only recently given permission for the Army Training Regiments to use this technique in the instruction of new recruits. This technique is now available to you. It comes in the form of an email attachment. Complete with detailed colour photos, the instructions will tell you everything you need to know about succesful beeswaxing and bulling, from what you need to get started, the type of boot to buy, waxing and bulling techniques, aftercare , and if you run into problems I will help out via email. If you want to be the envy of your Battalion, you can be if you follow this guide. I have heard of one soldier who used the guide and was told not to turn up for parade as his boots were better than the RSMs. The technique can be used not only on ammo boots but also on combat boots, shoes and Sam Browne belts. Some of you may know me as Blackash6 from Ebay
Ammo and combat boots using our technique
Aswell as the instructional Guide, you can also purchase some of the items required to complete your boots.
Pure Beeswax- We only use specially made pure beeswax . Wax bought on the High Street can sometimes be too brittle to use for waxing. These blocks come in handy 1 once blocks Brand new boots will need a minimum of 3 blocks. Previously waxed boots will use 1 to 1 1/2 blocks.
Selvyt- No self respecting Guardsman would be without one of these for boot bulling. These are 14 inches by 14 inches rather than the normal 9 x 9 cloths. If you want to acheive that deep gloss shine you will need one of these. 100 times better than the yellow dusters.
Kiwi Parde Gloss- Traditional kiwi Parade Gloss. No other polish will do.
